    Down-to-earth garden care

  • About Me

I'm Zach, a friendly and reliable gardener serving Bristol and the surrounding areas.

I have always felt a strong connection with nature and held a passion for the outdoors. My childhood weekends were spent on family walks in the Peak District near Sheffield, where I grew up. At university I studied Philosophy to satisfy my natural curiosity about life's biggest questions. That curiosity gradually shifted towards nature - how life has evolved and adapted to different climates and conditions.

I volunteered through WWOOF UK on organic farms in Cornwall and Devon, learning how to cultivate fruits, herbs, and vegetables sustainably. In 2024 I took a three day course at the High Nature Centre learning about the principles of permaculture. After this I quit my job working at a college and decided to work full-time as a gardener. I worked closely with an experienced gardener in a small team, learning the ins and outs of garden maintenance and how to run a business.

Then, in 2025, I decided to pack my tools in the back of my car and give it a go myself.
